NFL Preview: Week six preview and upset alerts

One of the biggest games on Sunday has the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys traveling to Green Bay to face the 3-1 Packers. This game matches youth versus experience at quarterback and before you think the youngster can’t win on the road, it must be noted that ‘America’s Team’ has won its only two games away from home this season.

The big difference, besides age, is actually on the other side of the ball. The Packers are among the league’s best defenses and have stuffed the run all season. Of course turnovers will play a big role in who wins the contest, but the Green Bay defense has been more consistent in 2016, giving the edge to the home team in this terrific NFC battle. If there’s an upset to be had this weekend, Dak Prescott and the Boys’ are the team to do it.

Atlanta has been one of the best early season stories in the NFL and after their big win over Denver, experts are starting to take notice, but it doesn’t get any easier for the Falcons as they hit the road again this week to face Seattle.

The Seahawks were building some momentum before the bye week, but it likely helped Russell Wilson get a bit more healthy with his ankle injury. Seattle’s defense will get tested with Matt Ryan and the high-flying Falcons offense, but once again, defense and home field should prevail in what is the most intriguing game in week six.

With all four teams in the NFC East in contention for a spot in the NFL Playoffs, this week’s contest between rivals Philadelphia and Washington is big. The Eagles are led by rookie quarterback Carson Wentz and a defense that is playing much better than expected. The Redskins figured to be in the hunt for a division crown and after a slow start, are starting to look like the team experts expected.

While the Eagles have been more consistent, this game could come down to big plays by the offense and for that reason alone, look for Washington to win a tight battle in the nations capital.
