NFL News and Rumors: Possible landing spots for top free agents

Reports and rumors over the last week have created a buzz with fans, especially those who have teams well under the salary cap and looking to spend. Suh is set to visit Oakland next week and could become the highest paid defensive player in the league before he leaves, but for Murray, his future is a bit more cloudy.

Chris Wesseling has suggested four franchises have the money and need for a talented running back. Indianapolis is the top option as the Colts’ already have a star quarterback and a solid group of wide receivers, but have struggled to find that runner to make them a serious contender for a Super Bowl title.

Arizona is another NFL team that has a solid group of talent, but has struggled to find that missing piece. Murray is the type of player that will help in both the run and passing game with his unique skills and both teams would jump up in the power rankings if they can land the All Pro.

Seattle has proven that having a deep secondary can win championships and this years free agent class has one of the best corners in the league available. Darrelle Revis is a proven commodity and one of the best man coverage corners in the league and that will likely lead to a bidding war for his services.

Adam Schefter from ESPN has stated that New England and the NY Jets’ are likely the top landing spot for the All Pro with New York the favorite, but just slightly.

Mark Sanchez is the top quarterback available after the former first round pick had a breakout season with Philadelphia. Rumors had Buffalo as a possible destination, but the Bills’ added Matt Cassel this past week after a trade with Minnesota, possibly making a return to Philly a strong possibility.
