NBA Power Rankings: Warriors still looking to make history

Not only has this squad not lost at home, they are still hunting down the best overall record in league history. ESPN has reported that Stephen Curry and company have less than a 50 percent chance of beating the Chicago Bulls record of 72-10, but with five straight victories and nine of their last 10, it appears this squad is motivated to be the best ever.

While basketball fans watch in anticipation, San Antonio (56-10) has been playing some great basketball. The Spurs have also not lost a home game this season and sit just four games back for the best overall record in the league. These two teams have pulled away from the pack and are clearly the top two teams in the league.

Cleveland (47-19) are leading the Eastern Conference, but the Cavaliers appear to have some chemistry problems and despite having the best player in the game leading the way, LeBron James will need help if this team wants a shot to win a title.

Toronto is currently fourth in the latest NBA power rankings. The Raptors (44-21) are just 2.5 games behind Cleveland for home court advantage throughout the playoffs and after getting knocked out in the opening round last year, they have set their sights on a much higher goal for 2016.

While these four teams have the best shot at wining a championship, there are still other franchises just looking to battle and make the playoffs. Utah (32-35) has played well of late, but the Jazz find themselves two games back of Dallas for the final spot in the West.

Chicago (33-32) and Detroit (34-33) are locked in a tight race for the final spot in the East, but they can’t be scoreboard watching yet as Washington (31-35) is just a short winning streak of passing both teams for the eighth seed.
