Manny Pacquiao leads Kia Carnival to third PBA victory

Pacquiao played for about six minutes and failed to score on two attempts. He was ably assisted by Assistant Coach Chito Victolero to secure the team’s third victory by a score of 106-103.

It was a back-to-back win for Kia Carnival team, the first in its short history as one of the newest teams in the PBA. P.J. Ramos the Puerto Rican Kia Carnival’s import has been instrumental in the teams two successive wins.

Pacquiao’s team stunned Purefoods Hotshots last week 95-84 for its second win in the ongoing games.

Purefoods Hotshots’ defeat triggered the suspension and eventual dismissal of Purefoods import Daniel Orton for insulting Pacquiao and the league’s referees. Orton played for the Orland Magics in the NBA.

Pacquiao is scheduled to fly to the US on March 8 to start his training for his upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather. He said he might play again on Saturday, his last game before moving to Hollywood for his eight weeks of training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym.

“I thank everyone who supported the team, and to the Lord for answering our prayers,” said Pacquiao, who is not only hoping to make it it to the playoffs but to the championship round as well for his team.

“Not just to make the playoffs, but also to win the championship. Is that impossible?” he asked.
