On October 7, Kyle Chalmers won first place in the men’s 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle races at the FINA World Cup in Budapest. Digital Journal has the recap.

Kyle Chalmers won first place in the men’s 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle races at the FINA World Cup in Budapest. Digital Journal has the recap.

An Aussie swimmer, Chalmers clocked 20.97 seconds to earn first place in the men’s 50 meter freestyle race on October 7. Vladimir Morozov of Russia came in second place with a time of 21.04 seconds, while Dutch swimmer Jesse Puts finished in third place clocking 21.11 seconds.

Last week, at the FINA World Cup in Berlin, as Digital Journal reported, Chalmers won first place in the same race (the men’s 50 meter free) with a time of 21.01 seconds.

He raced the men’s 100 meter freestyle on Friday, October 8, where Chalmers won with a time of 45.50 seconds. He left Morozov in second place with 46.25 seconds, and Hungarian swimmer Kristof Milak in third place with 46.93 seconds.

Chalmers serves as co-captain of the London Roar swimming team in Season 3 of the International Swimming League (ISL).
