In bad weather Switzerland takes the Games’ 1st gold medal.

Polish Adam Malysz finished 2nd with total 269.5 points after jumping 105.5 and 105 metres. He’s the first Polish jumper who won 3 Olympic medals.
The bronze came to Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer with 268 points. This is his first Olympic medal after holding 32 World Cup titles already.

In the situation of bad weather the organizers checked at least this competition off as the men’s downhill skiing competition was postponed until Monday hoping that the weather will change by then.
Sunday’s women’s super combined was also postponed. The postponements don’t come for the first time in the history of the games – in 1984 in Sarajevo and in 1998 in Nagano, the downhill was postponed too.
