On her long jump win, she remarked, “I just felt ready! I was excited… I normally get super nervous so I channeled that energy into excitement and I just executed. That was the main thing that I needed to do.”

“My body is healthy and I felt good… I just had to make sure that my mind was there,” she added.

Moore on the greatest lessons that long jump and triple jump have taught her

When asked by this journalist what the lesson lesson that her two events (long jump and triple jump) have taught her, she responded, “They have taught me patience… Falling down and getting back up again.”

“I watch a lot of ‘Survivor,’ so seeing how those contestants play is what really motivates me,” she noted.

“Also, watching the Olympics and really having that perseverance… it really builds character, and I think I’ve learned that a lot over the past couple of years,” she explained.

Triple jump competition

The women’s triple jump competition took place on Sunday, March 1st, and Moore won first place with a leap of 13.89 meters. As a result, she was able to secure a double win this weekend.

Moore defines success

Regarding her definition of the word success, Moore remarked, “Success, to me, means making myself proud. Of course, I wished I would have jumped further, but I’m proud of myself the way I started from the beginning to the end.”

“I have a smile on my face, and I am just trying to find the joy in it all,” she concluded.
