Looking towards the upcoming football season, it’s impossible not to believe New England is the team to beat this season. The Patriots not only won another Super Bowl title with an amazing comeback against Atlanta in February, the offense added former New Orlenas Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks, the deep threat Tom Brady has needed since Randy Moss last played with the Pats’.
Head coach Bill Bellichick has never had a problem motivating this team and with history on the side of this franchise, New England will enter the season number one in the power rankings and will remain there unless something dramatic happens, like a season ending injury to their veteran quarterback.
The Falcons know they blew a chance at history last season. Atlanta had the big boys on the ropes, but ran out of steam in the fourth quarter. With one of the best offenses in the history of the NFL and a defense that is young and hungry, this team is set for a big year, but only if they forget the past and use the Super Bowl as motivation to get even better.
Several media sources on social media have suggested this is one team that could make a significant drop from last year, but pride and hunger could make this the year Atlanta flies high and gets some revenge from their disappointment from last season.
One of the dark-horse candidates for the upcoming season is Denver. The Broncos must find some consistency under center, but with one of the top-ranked defenses in the league and plenty of play-makers on offense, this franchise is just one player away from winning a second Super Bowl title over the last three years.
