2016 NFL Mock Draft: Updated first round projections

Walter football is among the leaders in predicting what teams need and how they will go about getting young talent. It has released its latest projections and it gives fans a good idea of what players to watch in the upcoming college season.

Ohio State has two of the top ranked players in quarterback Cardale Jones and defensive lineman Joey Bosa. Depending on how teams finish the 2015 season will give a better idea of where these young men will begin their professional careers, but for now they are projected to play for Cleveland and Oakland respectively.

The Browns are still talking up Johnny Manziel to the fans, but ESPN has reported they are tired of babysitting and could cut ties with the 22-year-old if he doesn’t show more maturity over the next few months.

Bosa is a beast and his versatility to play inside as a tackle or outside as an end makes him a target for any team needing help on defense. The Oakland Raiders already have their young quarterback and improving the defense is the next step in rebuilding.

Jay Cutler is nearing the end of his tenure with the Chicago Bears and many experts believe the front office will look for his replacement next spring. Connor Cook of Michigan State would have been a top-10 pick if he applied for the 2015 NFL Draft, but his return to school should only help his ranking for next years draft.

It should be a great year for football fans with the College Football Playoffs entering year two and the NFL having several teams in the hunt to win a Super Bowl and these young men should be just a part of the reason for the sports continued success.
