2016 NFL Mock Draft: QB’s moving up in latest player rankings

Cleveland is one team that not only has a new coach, but also a need for a new leader as Johnny Manziel is doing his best impersonation of Ryan Leaf with his off-field antics. The Browns can’t have a party boy leading this franchise and need a player the fans and team can rally behind.

Walter Football has just released their latest mock draft and with the second overall pick, they have Cleveland taking Jared Goff. The youngster from Cal finished off the year with a huge performance against Air Force and with Paxton Lynch looking very average for Memphis, Goff has taken over the top spot for quarterbacks in this years draft class.

Chip Kelly is now in control for San Francisco and despite reports Colin Kaepernick is likely staying put with the 49ers, Lynch is the type of athlete the new head coach would love to run his fast-paced offense and it doesn’t hurt he ran a similar scheme with the Tigers.

The new LA Rams could also be looking for a new leader on offense as this team has struggled to score points for the last five years. Case Keenum did play reasonably well over the last four games, but he’s not a big name star to lead this group as the prepare to play at the new (old) home and drafting a youngster now, could pay dividends later.

Reports of the front office taking a hard look at North Dakota State product Carson Wentz is a different direction than previously thought, but his size, arm, and winning pedigree make him a logical choice for a franchise looking for its next star.
