2016 NBA Draft: What will Boston do with four first round picks?

General manager Danny Ainge has already said he will welcome trade offers and that has led to several rumors, including a possible deal to land Kevin Durant if Oklahoma City believes their star forward will walk after this season.

Packaging three or four of those picks and a player or two could change the face of the Eastern Conference for the next five years, but all this is just speculation and for now it appears “Bean Town” will just have plenty of new, young faces, on the basketball court next season.

With the NCAA Basketball season just getting underway, fans, scouts, and GM’s are getting a firsthand look at the players that could change the game and LSU youngster Ben Simmons looks like the real deal.

The latest from Mock Draft has the Australian headed to Philadelphia, but with the picks to move up, Ainge and his staff would be wise to grab the youngster and build the franchise around the talented 6’10” forward.

The 76ers are off to a horrendous start, but the franchise has some quality young players and with two picks of their own in the first round, Simmons and Kentucky point guard Jamal Murray would give them more talent to work with. Both of these youngsters are dynamic and have the skills to finally make this team a winner.

Skal Labissiere of Kentucky entered the year on top of the player rankings and while the young center hasn’t dominated early, he has shown glimpses of what NBA experts expect will make him a great player. The seven-footer is very athletic and runs the floor like a small forward, but his 215 pound frame has some believing he’ll struggle in the paint.
