2015 NBA Mock Draft: The biggest ‘sleepers’ all fans should know

Jarian Grant of Notre Dame has developed his game over the four years he’s played with the Irish and with his play in the NCAA Tournament, the 6’5″ point guard could move inside the top-10 this June.

While Grant isn’t flashy, he is solid in all aspects of basketball and his ability to run an offense and not turn the ball over, could lead to several NBA teams willing to gamble on the senior. The LA Lakers have a huge hole in the back court with the recent retirement of Steve Nash and with a good showing at the combine, the luck of the Irish could rub off on the Purple and Gold.

Sophomore Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of Arizona is another intriguing youngster. At 6’7″ and a long wing span, this 20-year-old has perhaps the best defensive skills of any forward in this years draft class. While the Wildcats prospect needs to improve his outside shooting, he has a strong work ethic and loves playing man-to-man on opposing schools best offensive weapons, making him a good fit for better teams looking for a shut-down defender.

LSU has two big bodied power forwards that could become first round picks with a good showing at the NBA Combine later this year. Jordan Mickey is 6’8″ and 235 pounds and Jarell Martin stands 6’9″ with a similar frame. Both players have shown flashes in their two years with the Tigers and with the experience of playing some tough competition in the SEC, scouts and general managers around the league are keeping an eye out on these two youngsters.

Every year a young man comes from the back of the pack and makes a name for himself as a professional basketball player. These young men have what it takes to succeed at the next level and with the right fit and some hard work, a long successful career is a possibility.
