L.A. director creates paper trailer for Prometheus film

Scene for scene, this video Paper Prometheus Trailer is an exact replica of the full-length trailer for Prometheus, a sci-fi big-budget film directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner).

The inventive trailer uses the same music and dialogue bits from the real trailer and overlays the sound over designs made from paper and other materials. The cut-out figures bear a striking resemblance to their real-life counterparts, such as Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender.

Check out the real trailer below:

As of publication, the trailer uploaded by L.A. director Travis Betz has attracted more than 50,000 views since June 4.

In the video description, Betz admits “Alien…remains one of my favorite films. When I first saw the trailer for Prometheus I knew I wanted to play in that world…so I did.”

Betz’s other popular videos include The Bumps, a dark horror comedy series, Zombie’s Day Out (self-explanatory) and the musical comedic song The Telephone Game.
