CARY, NC, May 04, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Innovate Mobility has been selected by Yuba-Sutter Transit Authority’s Board of Directors to develop a Comprehensive Operations Analysis and Short-Range Transit Plan (COA/SRTP). By launching this ambitious project, Yuba-Sutter Transit hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how its riders move throughout the counties in its service area and provide recommendations for the transit system of the future.
Yuba-Sutter Transit’s COA/SRTP comes at an opportune time as so many people move differently today than they did before the pandemic. Yuba and Sutter Counties’ rapid population growth further enhances these travel pattern shifts. With a growth rate double that of the rest of California, the region is expecting this trend to continue after the pandemic.
Beyond designing new transit services, Yuba-Sutter Transit also aims to better serve its vulnerable and disadvantaged populations. As part of its analysis, Innovate Mobility will use its state-of-the-art modeling solutions and its decades of experience with transit design. This will help Yuba-Sutter Transit identify where vulnerable populations reside and how best to provide more equitable and accessible service.
