Understanding multicultural wedding traditions and trends is an important component of The Florida Hotel’s strategy to engage and connect with the South Asian wedding community across the US. In July 2021, the hotel’s staff will participate in a two-hour training designed to learn more about South Asian culture and wedding traditions as well as ways in which to develop meaningful and culture-appropriate event services and amenities for this market segment.
Providing top-tier customer service for clients that is both tailored and culturally nuanced is a priority this year for the property. John Lamont, Vice President at The Florida Hotel, shares, “We are committed to adding resources and staff to successfully service our South Asian community through training sessions to fully understand the dynamics involved in planning a traditional wedding.”
Director of Sales and Marketing at The Florida Hotel Simone Kuska-Villanueva also recognizes the value in seizing opportunities to proactively reach and engage with the South Asian community. As part of their new strategy, the venue recently became a Platinum Vendor on Maharani Weddings, a popular online South Asian wedding portal. “We are excited about being a part of the Maharani Weddings community! We look forward to meeting South Asian brides and the opportunity to make their wedding the most memorable event in their life,” said Kuska-Villanueva.
The Florida Hotel will also participate as a vendor at the Desh Videsh Media Group MyShadi Bridal Expo, a South Asian bridal show, in Orlando, on August 22, 2021.
