TCG Network Services is pleased to announce the hiring of John Petrozzelli to fill the role of Director of Cybersecurity. In this capacity, Mr. Petrozzelli will further the development of cybersecurity programs, vulnerability assessments, and security policies for the Natick-headquartered Managed Services Provider. He will also lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) team in its effort to protect client systems and data.

“John is uniquely qualified to take on this role,” said Frank McDonough, the President of TCG Network Services.

“He understands the threat landscape, the technology, and the policy frameworks that our managed security and compliance enablement services are built on,” Frank concluded.

“I’m thrilled to learn from the co-founders, Frank [McDonough] and John [Stone],” said Mr. Petrozzelli. “When they described how cybersecurity is the cornerstone of every IT decision that TCG makes, I knew this was the company I wanted to work for.”

Prior to joining TCG, John had a storied professional career in cybersecurity. He began as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force in 1998. After serving valiantly, he began on-duty service with the FBI in 2004. While there, he assisted in the creation of security programs, performed analytic reviews of hard drives, and assisted with investigations ranging from civil rights to international terrorism.

In 2010, he was promoted to the role of Supervisory Intelligence Analyst, overseeing analysis for every criminal program at the FBI’s Boston office. As the day shift intelligence supervisor during the manhunt for the Boston Marathon Bombers, he guided intelligence professionals through the investigation. He then led the FBI’s computer forensic review of the suspect’s digital media.

John’s team reviewed more than 33,000 emails, 120,000 photos, and 12,000 videos during criminal discovery and trial preparation. During that period, he wrote over 50 reports that were used in testimony to support Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s eventual conviction.
