Second Annual Kool Kids Foundation Golf Tournament a Sold Out Success

Aug. 3, 2021 / PRZen / FORT LEE, N.J. — A celebration of good times to help benefit music education for children with top celebrities had taken place on Tuesday, July 13th 2021, hosted by Robert Kool Bell, co-founder of the Grammy Award winning legendary band, Kool & the Gang, along with sons Hakim Bell and Muhammed Bell.

The second annual Kool Kids Foundation Golf Tournament, held at the Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club in Livingston, NJ, was a sold-out event where entertainers such as Ja Rule, Chris Tucker and Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge fame rubbed shoulders with celebrity athletes Lawrence Taylor and Ken Griffey Sr. Other famous folks included John Starks, Charles Oakley, Ken Griffey, Sr., Hisham Tawfiq (from NBC-TV’S “The Blacklist”), OJ Anderson, Anthony Avent, Jeff Nelson, Stephane Matteau, Howard Cross, Rodney Hampton, Stephen Baker, Lewis Tillman, George Rogers, Brian Kelly and Mark Bavaro.

During the event, grade school age Amalia Arty was presented with an electric keyboard by Kool Kids Foundation president Hakim Bell.  Amalia is the piano student of instructor Akene Dunkley, who was Hakim Bell’s music teacher many years ago.

Towards the evening, attendees were treated to performances by Ja Rule, Chris Tucker, Carl Brister, DJ Sienna as well as the Center Stage Band.
