Sean Astin – The Next Celebrity To Help the ‘I Follow Ukraine’ Campaign?

A growing list of celebrities have supported Ukraine in its ongoing war. The country’s officials have expressed eternal thanks for stars who have so far lent their names to increase charitable donations to Ukraine (think Ben Stiller, Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn and Liev Schreiber).

Easiest Way For Celebrities To Help Ukraine

As an active supporter of humanitarian initiatives, Sean Astin would be the perfect candidate for a new charitable campaign developed in conjunction with the charity auction platform CharityStars to benefit President Zelensky’s fundraising platform UNITED24.

For almost as long as the concept of “celebrity” has existed, there have been people willing to trade money for time or lunch with them.

But the idea of a celebrity charity auction is relatively new and Ukraine is in desperate need of celebrity endorsement to continue to shine a light on their ongoing predicament.

Adoring fans would gladly pay good money to receive a “like” or “follow” from their heroes while helping a good cause-if they only knew how. And that’s exactly the idea behind the ‘I Follow Ukraine’ campaign.

Celebrities Auction A “Follow” To Help Ukraine

The idea is simple. Celebrities donate a “follow” on their social media for auction in support of Ukrainian Medical Aid efforts.

Funds raised will be transferred to the “Medical Aid” direction of UNITED24 to cover the procurement of medication, vital healthcare supplies, and critical medical equipment such as anesthesia, operating, and X-ray machines.

We were inspired by Ricky Martin who was so involved in helping Puerto Rico rebuild after hurricanes that he asked many of his celebrity friends to join his campaign. Our idea, based on Ricky Martin’s philanthropy, is very simple – celebrities donate a social media follow for auction. The ideal scenario? If all of this goes viral like the ice-bucket challenge, we will help our country with medical aid funding.” says Mr Zakrevskyi, the Head of I Follow Ukraine campaign.

CharityStars spokesperson Erika Visentin said “it is critically important that the war does not lose importance in the media – it hasn’t stopped yet and it’s still there. Ukrainian people need our help and celebrities can make a huge difference.

Celebrities register easily and indicate that they want to participate in the “I Follow Ukraine” campaign. CharityStars, working to benefit President Zelensky’s UNITED24 fundraising platform, will take care of the rest.
