Bolzano, Italy – Freudenstein Castle was born as a noble residence thanks to the nobleman Mr. Eisenbrand von Pasquay and the Fuchs von Fuchsberg family, later thanks to Ulrich Fuchs von Fuchsberg it assumes the structure of a walled castle.
But it was only at the beginning of the 16th century with the knights Jakob Fuchs von Fuchsberg that the castle took on its present form.
From 1716 onwards, the property was bought by various prominent nobles and finally, it was taken over by the Gostner family.
“In recent years, Freudenstein Castle has undergone a profound process of restructuring and modernization, but we have preserved the aura of the historic noble residence, implementing it with exclusive living comfort,” says Tobias Gostner, coordinator of the renovation.
In fact, the castle has evolved into an accommodation facility that offers demanding customers an exclusive accommodation service, a Lounge Bar, and one of the most exclusive restaurants in Bolzano.
The accommodation consists of 12 suites and 4 rooms, wrapped in a place of tranquility, elegance, and refinement combined with the high quality of service, to experience unforgettable moments.
The lounge bar, which opens to the public from 18:00, offers a remarkable collection of wines, grappa, spirits, and more, in an environment that enjoys a magnificent view.
The restaurant, on the other hand, immersed in the evocative setting of the castle offers a unique culinary experience, with refined dishes and refined flavors, also obtained thanks to the careful selection of small artisan products in respect of the season, all supervised with care by Chef Danilo D’Ambra.
