Families are spending more time at home than ever before. Many workplaces have shifted to a work-from-home model, and children are often attending virtual classes. Onesiemania founder, James Leeds, witnessed the difficulty and boredom that arose from this lifestyle switch firsthand. His sister has 4 children ages 2-8. When the pandemic forced them to stay home as a family of 6, she expressed it was hard for her to keep things positive and fun. Onesiemania launched with the goal of adding a sense of normalcy and humor to this new lifestyle.
However, it didn’t stop there. The company has expanded on that mentality by providing fun costumes and onesies for any event. Their onesies can be seen on people of all ages on Halloween, at pub crawls, music festivals, Birthday celebrations, and work parties around the world. The Seattle company offers hundreds of selections and sells their items internationally on their website, www.onesiemania.com. Since their start less than 2 years ago the company has broadened their scope.
Onesiemania intends to drive their philosophy further in 2022 with a program where they will donate 1 onesie for every 15 sold to less fortunate children and children in hospitals. Once large gatherings are deemed safe, the company would also like to set up national events such as onesie inspired 5k runs, and onesie dance-a-thons.
