NICE DCV and EnginFrame: Latest Updates Announced by Nor-Tech

Aug. 11, 2022 / PRZen / MINNEAPOLIS — Nor-Tech, a primary NICE distributor for the Americas for on premises deployment, just announced important new functionalities featured in the latest versions of NICE DCV and EnginFrame.

NICE DCV is a high-performance remote display protocol that allows secure delivery of remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device, over networks. Updates include:

  • Game controller support for Windows server and native client
  • DCV Web Client now leverages WebCodecs on browsers that support it.
  • CentOS 08 stream support
  • Ubuntu 22.04 and Rocky Linux 8.5 and higher server support
  • Added support for Ubuntu 22.04 for the native client.
  • An improved collaborative experience for the Windows, MacOS and Linux native clients

NICE EnginFrame is an advanced web-based portal providing users with easy access to their HPC or CAD environments whether running on premises, in the cloud, or as a hybrid system. Updates include:

  • Compatibility with Java11
  • Added support for the log4j configuration to be overridden by the top folder configurations
  • HPC Connector enabling configuration updating of a previously created cluster
