It’s been almost a year since Vergil and his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri for work, but Vergil has yet to fulfill his promise to his son Cosme about a trip. Vergil now learns that for the NFL 2022 season, the Kansas City Chiefs will play against the Los Angeles Chargers in Kansas City on September 15th. As Cosme has always been very eager to watch a football game in person, Vergil decides to embark on an NFL road trip with Cosme.
Vergil’s wife Emma is a little worried about Vergil and Cosme going on their first trip together, but there’s nothing to worry about as they have a secret weapon: the Black Series HQ19 travel trailer. Vergil has been dreaming of owning this trailer since he saw it at the Las Vegas RV Show, when its high price stopped him from buying it. Having learned about the recent trade-in program, Vergil didn’t hesitate to trade in his old RV to get the Black Series HQ19, and this NFL road trip is the perfect opportunity to try it out.
Vergil has replenished the water and power supplies of the trailer, and bought plenty of food at the supermarket. They plan to spend the trip watching football and camping. Vergil is very impressed by how large the Black Series HQ19’s water tanks are, storing 240 L of pure water and 60 L of drinking water, enough for a family of three to live outdoors for a week. Vergil and Cosme set off after packing their clothes. Along the way, they enjoy the natural landscape of the plains. Soon, they arrive in Kansas. Cosme bought tickets online. As almost all the parking spaces around the stadium are occupied, it’s very difficult to park a trailer here. Vergil decides to park the trailer near the river, then drive the car to the stadium for the game. In doing so, he saves lots of time and avoids the trouble of parking, which shows the convenience of the HQ19.
It’s a close game with fierce competition and high excitement. Although the teams are well-matched, the Kansas City Chiefs end up winning. Cosme is very excited because the Chiefs are his favourite team. On the way back to the trailer, he relishes the exciting moments of the game. Since they’re now in Kansas, they have to have a barbecue. They think their own barbecue is just as good. They drive the trailer out of the city along the Missouri River to a riverside clearing with dense woods and glistening ripples. Driving along the river, Vergil was a little worried that the trailer would get stuck in the soft mud and sand, but its performance turns out to be excellent. Equipped with an independent suspension system and off-road tires, the trailer can easily cope with all driving conditions, proving that it’s truly an off-road all-terrain trailer.
When the trailer is parked, Cosme says he’s hungry. Vergil turns on the stove outside the trailer, puts the grill on the hot stove and takes out steaks for dinner. Cosme watches TV in the trailer. The hot stove of the trailer is more powerful than the stove at home, and it’s very convenient to wash vegetables in its sink. All of these features make it very easy to cook a dinner. Seated together in the booth, Vergil and Cosme enjoy every bite of their delicious steaks in such a warm setting. After dinner, night has yet to fall, so Vergil fetches his favorite fishing rod from the storage room in the front of the trailer and goes fishing beside the river. The Black Series HQ19 not only has internal storage space, but also large-volume external storage space. Now Vergil always has a place to keep his beloved fishing rod.
It’s September and the nights are getting colder. Vergil turns on the heater in the trailer and it soon warms up. He turns on the instant water heater so that he and Cosme can have hot showers. They throw the clothes that they’ve worn for two days into the washing machine. On the bed, Cosme shares interesting stories from his school life. This is the first heart-to-heart talk Vergil has ever had with Cosme. After two days of travel, Cosme has grown fonder of this trailer. Looking at the TV, washing machine, air conditioner, roaster and microwave oven, he says that the trailer has even more amenities than their home. The toilet and bathroom are separated for convenience. More importantly, the trailer allows them to camp away from any campsite. The Black Series HQ19 has brought Vergil and Cosme this unforgettable trip.
