Scope of the Report of Virtual Training and Simulation
The virtual training and simulation is the combination where training is conducted in a virtual or simulated environment when the learner or the trainee and the instructor are in separate locations. Virtual training can be done synchronously or asynchronously, it gives the traditional classroom or learning experience. The simulation helps learners to believe that the settings are real and they can act or respond to it by making mistakes and actually doing no harm or wastage leading to the real-time learning experience. This technology is widely used in various industries including education, healthcare, military for training students, medical trainees, and military troops respectively. Currently, virtual training and simulation are being used in training nursing students for clinical learning in the wake of COVID-19.
On 18th January 2020, In advance of the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare, CAE Healthcare has released CAE Vimedix 3.0, its updated ultrasound simulator with a new user interface that includes 3-D/4-D cardiac ultrasound for advanced assessment and diagnosis in preparation for ultrasound-guided interventions.
On 17th January 2020, CAE Healthcare announced the release of its first training applications for Microsoft HoloLens 2, which will integrate holographically, modeled physiology into its patient simulators. The mixed reality applications will accelerate learning by displaying 3D, interactive cardiac, respiratory, and circulatory systems that will allow learners to envision human anatomy.
On 18th Feb 2020, PaleBlue and European Space Agency (ESA) launched a virtual reality training project as an agreement. PaleBlue started developing a VR training simulator for astronaut training in Zero Gravity. Within this project, the International Space Station (ISS) is reproduced as a virtual 3D model, where groups of astronauts use VR to perform simultaneous training. This project will allow PaleBlue and ESA to visualize navigation inside the ISS in Zero-G conditions. The project contains cutting-edge research and development. PaleBlue has been selected for this project based on the unique capabilities of the company’s Simulation Platform, allowing for collaborative training in VR, where participants can connect from around the world to the same simulation scene.
