Las Vegas, NV -- Something new is brewing in the Las Vegas comedy scene, and it’s called The Comedy Rumble. On October 5th at 9:30 PM, WiseGuys Comedy Club in the Arts District will host the debut of this exciting show, which has already been a hit in Salt Lake City. Created by comedian Benjamin Brown—a former polygamist turned stand-up comedian—The Comedy Rumble brings underground talent to the spotlight, offering a fresh take on live comedy.
After six consecutive weeks of sold-out shows in Utah, Benjamin is expanding The Comedy Rumble to Las Vegas, bringing his unique journey and passion for stand-up to a new audience. Raised in a polygamist Mormon compound, Benjamin’s background gives his comedy a rare perspective. His goal with The Comedy Rumble is to provide prime-time stage opportunities for emerging comedians.
KBanks, the co-host helping bring The Comedy Rumble to Vegas, is no stranger to taking big leaps. KBanks has been making waves in the comedy world, hosting a fully female-run open mic, creating and hosting the interactive trivia game show Stumpin’ Stoners, and breaking into clubs such as LA Comedy Club at The Strat. "The first piece of advice I ever received when starting comedy was that good things happen to good people. It wasn't long after meeting Ben that we both recognized we share the same vision of helping comedians and our ecosystems grow. Combining our strengths has made this all extremely attainable in a short time, and I'm lucky to call him a partner and friend," KBanks shares.
While there’s plenty of comedy to binge on TikTok and Netflix, KBanks believes nothing beats live stand-up. “It’s like watching baseball—it’s way better in person,” she explains. “We just want people to come out, bond over a laugh, and let comedy work its magic.”
The Comedy Rumble is all about giving audiences a taste of raw, untapped talent in a high-energy format. "Comedy’s a verbal tickle," KBanks adds with a grin. "Come ready to laugh—it’s going to be a wild ride."
