Organization Has Helped Women Launch Businesses for 39 Years

SOUTHBURY, CT / ACCESSWIRE / April 18, 2023 / The Entrepreneur's Source® (TES) recently celebrated Women's History Month by honoring female entrepreneurs and women in franchising.

The Entrepreneur's Source sponsored the 2023 Annual Leadership Conference hosted by the Women's Franchising Committee at the International Franchise Association's annual conference in Las Vegas. The event was moderated by Larisa Walega, Vice President of Marketing at Ziebart International Corp., and featured several speakers, including Nicole Salla, Chief Marketing Officer at Kiddie Academy.

As part of its celebration of Women's History Month, The Entrepreneur's Source hosted a podcast to highlight female entrepreneurs. To gain insight into the important role women play in business, listen to a recording of the podcast HERE.

"The future is empowerment," said Terry Powell, Visionary Founder of The Entrepreneur's Source. "Our hundreds of career coaches help everyone explore their options, possibilities, and dreams. We use education-based tools to give everyone the opportunity to become business owners."

The company is also ramping up its efforts to help women achieve self-sufficiency and financial freedom. The Entrepreneur's Source career coaches empower women to discover their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity™ goals to determine if ownership is the right path. Ahead of the curve, the career coaching founded Women Empowered by Business™, or WEBB, more than 20 years ago to help female business owners launch new futures in business ownership. WEBB provides opportunities and resources designed to educate women as they pursue entrepreneurship.

Women are leveling the playing field in the small business community. Females led 1.1 million small businesses in 2019, employing 10.1 million workers and earning a whopping $1.8 trillion, according to the latest numbers from the U.S. Small Business Administration. At least 25% of small business owners are women, according to a survey conducted by Guidant Financial. Younger generations are tackling business ownership with renewed vigor. Female members of Generation X are 23% more likely to be business owners than female millennials or baby boomers.

One of the first modern-day examples of franchising was launched by a female entrepreneur. Martha Matilda Harper opened her first hair salon in 1888. She started franchising in 1891 and grew the business to 500 salons and training schools. Today women are still fueling the franchise industry. At least 31% of all franchises are female-owned, and many women share franchise ownership with their spouses. Women also have leadership roles at franchises across the country, including Huntington Learning Center, Wetzel's Pretzels, Blaze Pizza, and Cousins Subs.

"Career ownership is the world's best-kept secret," said Tamara Loring, who is in charge of system ideology at The Entrepreneur's Source. "We empower everyone to really reimagine and reclaim their lives and figure out a way to live the lifestyle of their dreams. Career ownership allows everyone to see a pathway to be self-sufficient and generate the income they want."

The career ownership guidebook, "Your Career Revolution: Reimagine and Reclaim the Life of Your Dreams," is available for purchase on Amazon. The book is designed to help people achieve the American dream of self-sufficiency and financial freedom.
