PRESS RELEASE

For every person caught in the circle of extreme poverty around the world, August 2nd has come to mean everything to them- it’s their cloud with a silver lining. A chance at a better future, a doorway to a better life and a gateway to better health, sanitation, and education. The body behind designating the second of August as ‘World Feed The Poor Day’- The Feed The Poor Foundation of America Inc aspires to help extremely poor communities and advocates support for the United Nation’s number one goal of ‘No Poverty’. By highlighting their conditions and ways to help them, the organization hopes to encourage individual and group volunteers to support those in need.

The Feed The Poor Foundation of America Inc. held the first edition of ‘World Feed The Poor Day’ and Award Night on August 2, 2022 in the USA, Nigeria, and Kenya. At the Houston Funplex, they awarded 12 individuals who had gone the extra mile to help the poor, and also reached out to more than 1000 homeless people.

The organization hopes to gain momentum by involving sponsors, donors, partners, speakers, volunteers and other nonprofits to collaborate with them in celebrating this day. It is asking the public for award nominations for those fighting extreme poverty. Tapping into the power of social media, it also hopes to involve bloggers and social media experts to promote the day and fight extreme poverty all around the globe.

The organization builds its foundation on: “If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one person” a quotefrom the original champion of the poor, Mother Teresa.

The Feed The Poor Foundation of America Inc has ambitious plans to promote their cause and create an impact with their mission. It includes invitations to the public to take part in the World Feed The Poor Day Social Media Challenge, nominations, speaking engagement on How to Enrich Lives and registrations to attend this year's event starting in March 2023.
