Expansion In Offering
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation:
- In the last year, the clinic has added – Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, in short TMS as one of the treatments offered for clients dealing with resistant, depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD.
- “TMS is a non-invasive and non-surgical neuromodulation procedure, which works on a principle that magnetic pulses will penetrate the skull to stimulate specific areas of the brain that in turn regulates moods and restores the brain function,” explained Whitney.
- Furthermore, it is an FDA-approved treatment for depression. Hence the inclusion of TMS enhanced their ability to treat mental health conditions.
- Ketamine Assisted Therapy:
- Additionally, they added ketamine-assisted therapy to two other locations in Utah.
- According to Whitney, This therapy uses prescribed doses of Ketamine to alleviate pain and other mental health conditions.
Whitney said, “We are treating thousands of clients per month, trying to help people with their mental health as well as their relationships and overall well-being.”
Non-Profit Partnership
- They have partnered with a non-profit organization, named “Healing4Heroes®,” which is dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and their families in getting treatment for their mental health and leading productive lives.
- Through this partnership, Meadowbrook Counseling has assisted the unsung heroes with counseling, TMS, ketamine infusions, and other approaches.
