Published November 3, 2024

In honor of National Easy Bake Oven Day, Kimberly Adams, celebrated cake artist and owner of Signature Sweets, reflects on her early baking experiences and the joy they brought her. Kimberly began her baking journey with an Easy Bake Oven, honing her skills until she was 12 or 13 years old. Today, she continues to inspire the next generation of bakers through her passion for creativity and unique ingredients.

In 2016, Mayor Barrett proclaimed November 3 as “Signature Sweets Day” in recognition of Kimberly’s contributions to the local business community and her dedication to the art of baking. To celebrate this special day each year, Adams gives away Easy Bake Ovens to young aspiring bakers, encouraging them to explore their culinary talents.

“My easy bake oven ignited a spark in me for baking at a very young age!” says Kimberly.

Known for her breathtaking cakes that blend artistic elements and vibrant flavors, Kimberly is a self-taught baker who has competed on Food Network shows such as Cupcake Wars and Halloween Wars. As a recent judge on the popular series Buddy VS Duff, she continues to gain national acclaim for her work.

In addition to her baking accomplishments, Kimberly is deeply committed to her community. She is an active member of the National Association of Wedding Professionals in Wisconsin and supports Icing Smiles, an organization that provides custom celebration cakes to families affected by critical illness.

At Signature Sweets, Kimberly and her team create hundreds of signature cakes each year, serving the Milwaukee community and customers across the nation. Her story is a testament to Milwaukee's vibrant talent and dedication to the art of baking.
