Change Coach Marceia Cork Brings Awareness to Grief Through Her Dance Challenge

PRESS RELEASE
Published December 19, 2023

This December, communities and organizations throughout the Baltimore and DC metro areas are invited to shed light on children's grief through the uplifting #GoodGroove Dance Challenge. Aimed at bringing awareness to Grief Awareness, the challenge coincides with the release of two groundbreaking grief workbooks— My Good Grieve for youth and The Good Grieve for adults.

The holiday season can be particularly challenging for those dealing with loss and separation. The Good Grieve workbooks provide exercises and toolkits that teach youth and families how to grieve in a healthy way. Owner of The Good Grieve LLC, Marceia Cork is known as The Change Coach. She holds certifications as a change practitioner and grief recovery specialist, and is the creator of the proprietary Good Grieve framework.

Through dance and community participation, she hopes to not only raise awareness for Grief Awareness but also foster a sense of support and understanding for the myriad of challenges faced by our youth especially. Among the first to accept the challenge is the Meade High School Dance Co., setting the stage for a movement! Here is how others can join:

1. Create a post on social media with a similar caption: I’m doing the #goodgroove dance challenge because My Good Grieve and The Good Grieve teaches youth and families how to grieve in a healthy way

2. Use the hashtags #goodgroove #thegoodgroove #mygoodgroove #mygoodgrieve #thegoodgrieve

3. The challenge is done to the opening of the 1990s’ song, “Feels Good” by Tony Toni Tone

4. Participants can do as many as they want, and can add to it if they want.

5. People can share the posts by tagging @itsmarceiacork as a collaborator on IG, FB or TikTok.
