MLB Legend Mo Vaughn Acquires Florida Premier Baseball League, Boosting South Florida's Baseball Scene

Baseball fans in South Florida have a new reason to celebrate. MLB legend and three-time All-Star Mo Vaughn has bought the Florida Premier Baseball League (FPBL) as part of his ongoing initiative to support and promote baseball. The league, which has always attracted young athletes keen on showcasing their baseball talent, was previously owned by baseball enthusiast and patron Gaspar Palmer.

Mo Vaughn will be assisted in his role as the Head of FPBL by Coach Mark Groeneveld. Groeneveld is a former Vice President, Youth Activities Director, and Tournament Director of the Pembroke Lakes Optimist (PLO) Sports Board, and has extensive coaching experience with REC, the Travel Teams at PLO, Summer High School Showcase Baseball Teams and the X Team Organization.

Coach Groeneveld is highly optimistic about the future of FPBL under Mo Vaughns leadership. Commenting on his association with Mo Vaughn, Coach Groeneveld said, "I believe the Florida Premier Baseball League is an essential resource to help the development of baseball players. Together with Mo Vaughn, I look forward to continuing building the Premier Baseball League into the best league in South Florida."

Mo Vaughn's rise to MLB stardom began in 1991 with his debut with the Boston Red Sox. In an illustrious career spanning 12 years, the phenomenal slugger captured an MVP award and three All-Star selections. Since transitioning into coaching, Vaughn has worked to instill a positive mindset, strong work ethic, and discipline in young athletes.

Vaughn Sports Academy (VSA), Mo Vaughns renowned baseball coaching institution, has been at the forefront of nurturing baseball talent and popularizing the sport. From baseball coaching camps and mindset-building sessions to talent showcase opportunities for aspiring athletes, VSA has covered all bases when it comes to promoting the sport and developing athletes. They focus on preserving the longstanding tradition of passing on baseball expertise from seasoned professionals to aspiring athletes, upholding the essence of effective coaching methodology. Vaughns strong focus on developing and supporting young athletes has led him to collaborate with the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League (SFCBL) in several initiatives, the latest being his pledge to sponsor 12 young baseball players from various HBCUs.
