West Florida High School Accepting Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year
Pensacola, Fla. – The number one ranked high school in the Escambia County School District, West Florida High School of Advanced Technology, is currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year until December 8th. The school is located at 150 East Burgess Rd. in Pensacola, FL, and teaches core academics blended with technical education.
West Florida High School of Advanced Technology is an innovative high school established in 2001 by progressive-thinking community leaders and educators. The school offers a traditional high school experience from 9th through 12th grade with the same opportunities as other schools in Escambia County. West Florida High School is a Career Academy school where students can develop their knowledge in a career area of interest.
West Florida High School is a magnet school, meaning they are a public school that offers special programs. They only accept students who have applied for entry. To be selected for admission, the student must currently be in 8th grade and meet the admission requirements. These include having earned a grade of C or higher in core academics during their first semester, a satisfactory attendance record, and no serious discipline infractions. If the student meets all admission requirements, they will be randomly selected from a lottery conducted by the ECSD Office of Enrollment Services.
