Anaheim, California - Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, has partnered with the City of Anaheim to launch Anaheim's Access pilot program. The partnership is part of the Lighthouse's dedication to participate in initiatives that serve to better the community.
Mike Lyster, Chief Communications Officer for the City of Anaheim stated “Lighthouse Treatment Center was one of the launch partners of Anaheim’s Access pilot program, which works to provide help to those in need while bringing accountability for issues impacting the city’s neighborhoods and businesses.”
Access offers treatment, including for mental health and substance abuse disorders, as an alternative to the criminal justice system for those living in homelessness. So far, 17 people have accepted a healing plan and are working on their recovery as part of the program. Having available safe, regulated treatment facilities is essential to the program’s success.
Peter Davidson, President of the Lighthouse, said, "We commend Anaheim for their forward thinking and dedication to helping those in need and ultimately for changing and saving lives."
