The stakes have never been higher: the tournament pledges a 100% payback, underpinned by an impressive minimum payback of $10,000. The Big Fish accolades are subdivided into first and second tiers, priced at $700 and $300 respectively. An important note for participants: this event exclusively welcomes anglers who haven't garnered $5,000 or more in national crappie tournaments over the past two years, and those who haven't secured a position within the top 5 of major pro division tournaments. It's important to note that fishing guides will not be eligible for entry.
Truman Lake's reputation as a fertile crappie habitat precedes it. Anglers can anticipate substantial weights, with the lake's amalgamation of visible and submerged timber, along with stumps and stake beds, serving as prime crappie territories.
