PRZen / KENSINGTON, U.K. -- Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, MBE, a pioneering student of the
Excellence In Education, and tireless champion of STEM has become the youngest Chancellor of a Glasgow university. Initial research by British scholars suggests that Dr.
Imafidon, may hold
four distinct world records:
- Youngest female Chancellor of a university
- Youngest Chancellor of a major university
- Youngest leader of a non-private university
- Youngest scientist to become Chancellor of a multidisciplinary university
Dr. Imafidon's record-breaking journey began with her siblings, when they joined the ExcellenceInEducation.org.uk
mentorship program, which nurtures innercity kids. There, she achieved global recognition by becoming the youngest person to achieve A-Levels in Computing and Mathematics. Followed by scholarship at Johns Hopkins
University in Baltimore, USA, aged of just
13.
Her siblings have also achieved extraordinary feats:
- Christiana Imafidon: Became the youngest undergraduate student accepted into Durham University at the age of 11.
- Samantha Imafidon: Holds the world record for the youngest person to pass GCSE Mathematics and Statistics at the age of 6. She also holds the record for being the youngest to start high school in the UK and later became the youngest to gain University of Cambridge qualifications in Foundations of Advanced Mathematics.
- Twins Peter and Paula Imafidon: Became the youngest individuals to pass GCSE Mathematics at 6- years old, followed by becoming the youngest to pass it at A-Level a year later. They solidified their academic prowess by becoming the youngest to gain University of Cambridge Mathematics at the age of eight.
There are other achievements eg as each sibling is a talented musician with choral scholarships and a record of excellence in athletics, rugby, netball, and football.
The Imafidon family inspire, not only through their individual achievements but also through their very modest father's unwavering belief, that "Every child is a genius, if given the right tools, techniques, technology and thinking." – Professor Chris Imafidon, a multi-award-winning Artificial Intelligence specialist and pioneering Keath.AI and
Wall Street Journal bestselling author.
Dr. Imafidon's appointment as Glasgow Chancellor becomes even more significant when considering her predecessor, is twice her age and older than her parents. Anne-Marie's credentials are equally impressive, including being President of the British Science Association, and a bestselling author with titles like "She's in Ctrl," "Mathematics Manual," and "How to be Math Whizz".
"To be welcomed to an institution that stands for the Common Good is one of the greatest honors of my life," Dr. Imafidon said.
