PRZen / BOSTON -- Exploros, the K-12 learning experience platform, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a comprehensive audit resulting in a clean SOC 2 attestation report for security, data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity.
SOC 2, or Service Organization Control Type 2, is a cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SOC 2 aims to verify that third-party service providers securely store and process client data in addition to other best practices.
According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), K-12 institutions have increasingly become the target of cybersecurity threats at the network and device levels. Now more than ever K-12 institutions and partner organizations benefit from security efforts.
"We've always been focused on keeping partner data safe," says Bradley Heilman, CEO of Exploros, "and we're pleased to achieve SOC 2 certification as a formal testament to those ongoing efforts."
As a platform that extends the traditional Learning Management System (LMS) into the face-to-face classroom, Exploros facilitates teacher-guided social learning. Exploros offers learning experiences to schools directly and through publishing partners. SOC 2 compliance benefits the entire ecosystem — K-12 partners, publishing partners, and Exploros as an educational ecosystem.
Exploros is a K12 educational technology company specializing in helping teachers deliver exceptional social classroom learning experiences that engage all students. Exploros augments teacher expertise, gives every student a voice, and transitions classrooms to student-centered, data-driven instruction.
