PRZen / MEDFORD, Mass. -- The annual International Symposium on Forecasting (ISF), hosted by the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), will be held at the Dijon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Dijon, France, this year from June 30-July 3. Integrating academic research into forecasting practice, the ISF draws the world's top forecasters and researchers, as presenters and participants, to unveil and discuss the latest advances in the profession.
The forecasting community's premier international conference, the ISF showcases the full scope of forecasting sectors. This year's event features forecasting-focused topics on macroeconomic forecasting, judgmental forecasting, electricity demand, inventory control and supply chains, forecast communication, machine learning, tourism, information technology, forecasting for public good and many others.

The biennial Arnold Zellner Memorial Keynote Address, named in honor of the late professor emeritus of Economics and Statistics at the University of Chicago, will be delivered by Frank X. Diebold, Paul F. Miller Jr. and E. Warren Shafer Miller Professor of Social Sciences and Professor of Economics, Professor of Finance, and Professor of Statistics and Data Science, University of Pennsylvania.
Other notable speakers include Hilde C. Bjørnland, BI Norwegian Business School; Sergei Guriev, Sciences Po; Melanie Schienle, Professor of Statistical Methods and Econometrics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies; Mike West, Duke University; and Tommaso Proietti, University of Rome Tor Vergata.
In addition to the academic speakers, the 44th ISF will present the ISF Forecasting in Practice Track to meet the professional development needs of business-forecasting practitioners. In conjunction with the ISF, the seventh IIF Summer School, a two-day course that provides in-depth analysis of a cutting-edge topic in forecasting from an ISF-invited speaker, will be offered June 29-30 at the same venue. This year's topic, Bayesian Forecasting, will be taught by professor Francesco Ravazzolo, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, and assistant professor Magdalena Ivanovska, BI Norwegian Business School.
