Physicians Cannabinoid Council Receives Award for Best Consumer Safety-Focused CBD Organization

Los Angeles, California - February 22, 2023 - Physicians Cannabinoid Council (PCC), a consortium of physicians and specialists in the fields of family medicine, internal medicine, rheumatology, pain management, endocrinology, and nephrology, has been recognized by Stellar Business with the award for Best Consumer Safety-Focused CBD Organization. In an effort to lead the fight against unregulated CBD products, the PCCouncil recently launched their product certification program for brands to obtain their Physicians Quality Verified Seal. These programs assist the industry in furthering of self-regulation, which is necessary to deliver quality and effective products to the public.

The Stellar Business award is a recognition that what we do makes a meaningful difference,” said Helene Blanchette, Physicians CBD Council President. “Brands should not claim they are good and efficacious, they should prove that their quality is without compromise and the PCC seal is for consumers to recognize them.  The harsh reality is that the market is unfortunately flooded with products that are not trustworthy and put consumers at risk..”

“With the thousands of CBD products on the market, our goal is to provide a platform to verify a product’s quality and highlight the importance of consumer safety,” said Dr. Dung Trinh, MD and founder of the Physicians CBD Council. “Our Quality Verified Seal program is designed to identify products and brands that have gone through our evaluation process and emerged with our Quality Verified Seal on their products. We are proud of the growing list of brands applying to our Quality Verified Seal program and invite consumers to check out our verified products.” 

Since its creation, the Quality Verified Seal has gained support from CBD companies and providers, who now have an avenue for ensuring the quality of their products and the ability to distinguish themselves from the competition. The Physicians CBD Council also recognizes the importance of educating consumers about the proper use of CBD and finding quality products. Having launched in October of 2022, the Physicians CBD Council has quickly become the gold standard in CBD oversight.
