A Journey of Self-Discovery and Accomplishment: Arnold Semeon's Inspiring Career
--
Arnold Semeon is a lawyer and an entrepreneur who was not afraid to find new career paths in his life. When we name the qualities of the most successful businesspeople, versatility is definitely one of them. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Arnold's success story is worth telling.
Setting up the basis for a successful life: Arnold's childhood
Born in 1984 in the humble town of Abinsk, South Russia, Arnold Semeon's life is a tapestry of hard work, perseverance, and achievement. His life paints a vivid picture of determination, a steadfast commitment to independence, and a warm devotion to his family.
Arnold was raised before the digital era and got used to making the most out of his surroundings. This is why he experimented with various activities like selling daisies to local pharmacies or boiling corn and selling it at the bus station.
However, things were about to change. When he was only 14 years old, Arnold had to move abroad with his family. After the 1998 economic crisis in Russia, his parents were having trouble making ends meet. This is why they decided to move to Cyprus where his sister was living with her family.
This change was quite hard on the boy as he had to leave his friends and his life behind. But every cloud has a silver lining because this forced adaptation eventually prepared Arnold for a bright future in business. Resilience and versatility are some of the key ingredients of success, and Arnold has them both. Although nobody can doubt that he has an innate entrepreneurial spirit, moving abroad sure helped strengthen his personality.
Studies and early projects
Choosing his career path was not easy but, luckily, Arnold had a supporting father. He advised Arnold to make his own decision regarding his studies and profession. Thus, he looked for something that would give him the chance to harness some of his already existing qualities like his ambitious nature, his strong character, and solid ethics. Eventually, time would show him that this was the right path.
He gravitated towards international law, enticed by the discipline's direct association with business and the exciting promise of finding a larger world beyond his previous expectations. In 2003, Arnold embarked on a new journey as he flew to Minsk. Here he studied at the Faculty of International Relations at the Belarusian State University. He specialized in International Law, and by 2008, he had not one but two degrees under his belt: a Bachelor's and a Master's in International Law.
The rise and development of a true businessman
In 2011, Arnold Semeon embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in Cyprus, launching a business that aimed to revolutionize bill payments through self-service kiosks. However, the Cypriots were resistant to this novel method and chose to stick with the traditional queue-based payment system.
Faced with this challenge, Arnold decided to transfer his entire network to Thessaloniki, Greece, where he opened an office and expanded his fleet of terminals throughout the city.
Although the business began to generate revenue, the impact of the Greek financial crisis significantly affected people's ability to make payments, and revenues began to dwindle.
Eventually, Arnold decided to sell the kiosk network to a local company and return to Cyprus. Little did he know, this decision would mark the beginning of a new, exciting chapter in his life and career.
So, after he returned to Cyprus, he spent the next eight years honing his skills in the Contract for Difference (CFD) trading sector. He developed an analytical eye, improved his trading skills, and learned to navigate interactions with individuals from diverse cultures worldwide. This period also offered him deep insights into the mentality and peculiarities of different nationalities.
Like any business sector, the financial market had its share of ethical firms as well as those that deliberately violated the law, causing clients to lose more money than they should. These unfair practices fueled a sense of justice in Arnold, a sentiment that led to the birth of Vendetta Corp, much like the plot in the film V for Vendetta. The company helps traders to recover money they lost in trading with Brokers regulated by Cyprus Security and Exchange Commission (CySEC), by implementing an excellent knowledge of MIFID II Regulation and European directives.
Thus, he acquired a license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), leveraging his rich understanding of legislation and vast industry experience. Since that day, his efforts have helped lots of people reclaim hundreds of thousands of unfairly lost funds.
In October 2022, Arnold Semeon launched a Car Wrap Marketing Agency in Cyprus: UMI.CY, a unique and innovative marketing start-up that capitalizes on private cars for advertising purposes in Cyprus. The idea dawned on him while he was waiting at a traffic light, watching a parade of cars pass by. Each car side seemed to him like a mini-billboard, generally unused but with the potential to carry advertising.
Upon further research, Arnold discovered that such a service did not exist in Cyprus. He realized the potential of this untapped market, making his business unique and unrivaled in the region. As suspected, the concept was an instant hit amongst car owners who loved the idea of making extra income without changing their daily routines, simply by placing vinyl advertising stickers on their private vehicles. On the other hand, brands in Cyprus could significantly optimize their marketing strategies. This innovative approach has thus created a win-win situation for everyone involved, reinforcing Arnold's reputation as a forward-thinking entrepreneur.
Public relationships
This year Arnold decided to take on a new challenge and immersed himself in the area of top-tier media such as Forbes, TechCrunch, and NY Times. He met E-PR Online's founders by coincidence and saw an opportunity to explore the world of high-quality media, giving him the chance to gain more knowledge and develop new skills. Now, he's the head of E-PR Online's office in Cyprus, the branch that's responsible for all of Europe.
Exciting ideas
Opposite to what one may imagine, Arnold's new project has nothing to do with law, advertising, or public relationship. He is currently working on a dynamic new enterprise: an app called TOP 5 CYPRUS.
We're talking about a mobile application designed for both iOS and Android. The primary purpose of this app is to assist the 5 million tourists visiting Cyprus each year, making it easier for them to discover the TOP 5 restaurants, bars, clubs, real estate agencies, hotels, boutiques, car rental services, and much more. This application promises to help each tourist discover the best, tastiest, and most exciting places and activities on the island.
All in all, it seems like every piece of experience that Arnold gathered since childhood has helped shaped who he is now. Driven by the love of his family and his desire to teach his daughters the most precious values, he is a successful businessperson who is not afraid to take the next challenge. From selling corn at a bus station to creating two successful firms and heading the European branch of a prestigious marketing agency, Arnold Semeon seems to be accomplishing all he ever wanted in life.
