Akeso & Aglaia LLC was founded 4 years ago, by Denise Billen-Mejia, a former pediatric and emergency medicine physician. Upon discovering the therapeutic benefits of hypnosis for herself, Denise earned a diploma in Hypnotherapy with Honors and, realizing how useful the technique would have been in her previous work as a physician, made it her mission to educate her physician community and the general public.
Now, she uses therapeutic hypnosis to help clients with a wide host of medical issues, as well as the stress, fear, and anxiety that can accompany them. She has also developed hypnotic treatments to improve aspects of general lifestyle, such as performance arts, sports, or public speaking. Denise customizes a client's program to allow them to see more effective and faster results when dealing with all manner of health concerns, from anxiety to injury recovery.
Individualized hypnosis is the gold standard that will allow for faster results, but for some, a self-paced program allows for more flexibility and can be more convenient so Akeso & Aglaia will be offering programs that include self-hypnosis audios and group support from September 2023, allowing many more people to fit the benefits of hypnosis into a busy lifestyle who might not always be able to find the time for the 1:1 sessions.
Although she lives in Wilmington, DE she is able to help people all over the English-speaking world, online, helping them find relief from all manner of issues, from Anxiety to Zoophobia.
