PRZen / OKLAHOMA CITY -- Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Highmark, Inc. ("Highmark"). On December 15, 2022, Highmark became aware of an unauthorized intrusion on its company email account. Based on a forensic investigation, Highmark confirmed that between December 13, 2022 and December 15, 2022, cybercriminals gained unauthorized access to confidential emails containing sensitive personal information of at least 300,000 individuals. The personal information exposed to cybercriminals, includes:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Financial account information
- Medical information
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
As a result of the data breach, these individuals' personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity theft.
