In this exclusive interview, Dr. Taylor shares insights into her journey, the development of her signature REBT DEIA framework, and her groundbreaking initiatives, including the Black Health Summit. This virtual event taking place February 24th, 2024, from 10:00 AM -12:30 PM EST, promises to equip attendees with knowledge and empowerment and features a host of esteemed speakers addressing critical health issues affecting the African American community.
My journey towards social impact began with a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference in the world. As I took time to reflect on my experiences as a Certified Career and Master Mindset Life Coach, I recognized the immense potential for positive change within the social impact sector. This realization prompted me to refocus my business, WORxK Solutions, towards supporting individuals and organizations dedicated to creating a lasting impact on society. Becoming a Social Impact Career Coach felt like a natural evolution of my passion and expertise, particularly with my previous background as a Healthcare Career Coach while leading Heka Healthcare Consulting, LLC.
The development of the REBT DEIA framework was inspired by my belief in the power of integrating Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) principles with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) considerations. This framework serves as the cornerstone of our coaching approach at WORxK Solutions, empowering individuals and organizations to address challenges, cultivate resilience, and foster inclusivity in their respective fields. We will soon publish our foundational research on the framework and additional information on how we plan to leverage this framework to improve how we coach clients and engage in organizational resiliency, leadership development coaching, and passion fatigue prevention workshops.
The Black Health Summit is a culmination of our commitment to fostering awareness and providing insights into the health challenges faced by the African American community, while continuing to promote DEIA in the healthcare workforce. The summit will kick off with myself, Dr. Kristy Taylor and Coach Angela Johnson, sharing insights on health, wellness, and mindset. Coach Johnson recently launched her business, Sound Mind Wellness, LLC and has over 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. Most importantly, she is also my best friend and colleague. I am extremely excited to have her as my co-host!
We will share the platform with an esteemed line up of guests: Dr. Cyntrell Crawford, Nikkimah Davis, George Brooks, Dr. Brittany Case, Raymond Phipps, Dr. Ann Hester, and Bradley Troupe will delve into topics ranging from chronic illnesses and psychological wellness to youth mental health and healthcare workforce diversity.
Attendees will gain valuable insights, practical strategies, and community empowerment, addressing a wide range of health-related issues affecting the African American community.
We are very excited about our line up of speakers and encourage attendees to research and connect with them ahead of time and feel free to ask questions throughout the event.

We hosted the Career & Mindset Transformation Vision Board Party in January, but that was just the first of many events throughout the year. We have a thrilling lineup of events and initiatives planned to promote mindset transformation, career growth, and community building as part of our commitment to not only supporting social impact professionals but making an impact!
In addition to the Black Health Summit, we will be hosting Women Reign Events in celebration of Women’s History Month, including the Women Reign Podcast Blitz and MasterMINDS Book Club. Later in the year, we are gearing up for the Career Mindset Transformation Summit, focusing on empowering individuals in their career journeys.
The KidWORxKs program aims to introduce children to diverse careers in health science while instilling principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. By nurturing curiosity and promoting inclusivity from a young age, we aspire to shape future leaders in the field and foster a more equitable and diverse healthcare workforce. We plan to introduce our initial service line and products for KidWORxKs during the Black Health Summit.
The Passion Fatigue Prevention Workshop and Coaching Program for Women in Social Impact was inspired by the prevalent issue of burnout among women in these roles. My goal is to equip women with the tools and strategies needed to prevent burnout, sustain their passion for their work, and thrive both personally and professionally. After the Black Health Summit, we will begin advertising for our workshop series. I am very passionate about supporting diverse groups of women who are committed to making change, and this workshop and coaching series is the first of many to come.
I envision WORxK Solutions as a trusted partner for individuals and organizations seeking transformative growth and societal impact. By continuing to innovate our coaching methodologies, expand our educational initiatives, and advocate for DEIA principles, we aim to catalyze lasting change in the social impact landscape.
My advice would be to start with a clear understanding of your passion and purpose. Identify areas where you can make the greatest impact and leverage your skills and expertise to effect positive change. Remember that even small actions can have a ripple effect and contribute to meaningful societal change.
I would like to emphasize the transformative power of mindset transformation and community building in driving social impact. By fostering resilience, inclusivity, and collaboration, we can create a world where everyone can thrive. Together, we can build a brighter, more equitable future for all.
In conclusion, Dr. Kristy Taylor’s commitment to social impact is evident in her innovative initiatives like the Black Health Summit. With diverse speakers and engaging topics, her work fosters awareness and inspires action for healthier, more resilient communities. Through her leadership, Dr. Taylor continues to pave the way for positive change, demonstrating the transformative power of passion and purpose in shaping a brighter future.
