If you are reading this article you should be prepared for the biggest breaking news we had in a while, with Amazon starting the first stage of their pre-sale for AMZ Tokens (digital crypto currency) through the new Amazonwallet and scheduled Amazon Digital Marketplace. 

We had plenty of rumors through the years for Amazon to either support crypto currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum on their platform or plan their own native token and integrate it within their services and stores. The second thing now became reality as the first stage of the pre-sale has been launched where customers can buy the AMZ Tokens to use them later on Amazon or simply hold them as a crypto currency asset.

Amazon will start of with the Amazonwallet where you can hold most qualified crypto currencies, including their own AMZ Token. They will then launch the digital marketplace which will offer a new way for creators and marketers to distribute digital products in a successful way, all featuring the token which is the main payment method within these platforms. AMZ Tokens start at 1 USD right now for the pre-sale price and it is expected that they will not drop below that in this year because Amazon is describing their model by using a pricefloor, which means that any values below that will be bought by them to keep the value at the minimum of the pre-sale price. This shows already the trust they have into their move and the ambition that the project will be used for the long-term.

Now of course there has always been a lot of debates on crypto currencies, whether they are useful or not and how priceaction will eventually turn out. The news already sparked quite some interest as we can see Bitcoin closing in with 48k and higher in USD value which is a new high since the original bearmarket started. The difference for the AMZ Tokens is that with the brand and name of the Amazon company there will be quite a high interest from day one and leading into millions of wallet holders within near future. The goal for Amazon is to protect its integrity of being the largest online e-commerce provider and this goal won’t be stopped my adding a crypto currency and wallet. In fact we would rather describe it in the way that Amazon is evolving, doing the next logical step to adapt to digital currencies and having their best take on it.

You may still not believe in crypto currencies in general but there is no denial that Amazon’s step into this business will spark even more fires in the future and be a new trend of strong companies entering into digital currencies. Think about Meta, X for example to probably take similar approaches in the future. For example Elon Musk has always been talking about several crypto currencies in the past and is certainly advertising for these to be relevant for the modern society and how businesses will operate the next years. At the end of the day there is a development progress and we would rule it in that way that the chance is higher that crypto currencies will play a part in that than that they won’t.
