United States, 8th Jun 2023, King NewsWire – The third cohort of the Careers 4 Cause (C4C) program at both East LA College and Compton College has successfully completed their training, marking a significant milestone in the pursuit of empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds, including justice-impacted individuals, veterans, and those formerly homeless. The program, a collaborative effort between Los Angeles County, Fathers and Mothers Who Care, Amity, St. Joseph, DMH, AJCCs, (6) Community Colleges, and other partners, has equipped participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the homeless service field through comprehensive training in the Los Angeles Homeless Services Clarity System.
The C4C program is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals who are hard to employ, providing them with the tools and support necessary to rebuild their lives and create a positive impact in their communities. Through a rigorous curriculum delivered by experienced professionals, participants have gained a deep understanding of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Clarity System, enabling them to be employable in the homeless service field.
These two graduation ceremonies highlight the remarkable achievements, whose members have exhibited resilience, determination, and a commitment to personal growth throughout their C4C journey. The program has fostered a nurturing and inclusive environment where participants have thrived, building meaningful connections with their peers and mentors, and cultivating the confidence required to pursue their career aspirations.
Employment opportunities have been a focal point of the C4C program, with esteemed organizations such as Weingart, St. Joseph, Amity, and FMWC acting as crucial partners and employers. By collaborating with large and small employers, the program ensures that graduates have access to a diverse range of employment options, enabling them to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in real-world settings.
“The Careers 4 Cause program has been instrumental in empowering the justice-impacted, veterans, and formerly homeless individuals, allowing them to gain valuable skills and become change-makers in the homeless service field,” said Linda Kelly representative from the C4C program. “We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our graduating students, and we are confident that their dedication, compassion, and expertise will create a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community.”
The graduation ceremonies for the third cohort of the C4C program will take place on June 8th and 9th celebrating the accomplishments of these exceptional individuals and their transition into the workforce. Attendees will include program participants, their families, representatives from partnering organizations, and distinguished guests.
