Purafide's bamboo toilet paper uses 16 gsm of bamboo per ply, exceeding the standard 10 to 12 gsm of most toilet paper brands. This creates a robust tissue that is still soft to the touch. The greater absorption of the thicker sheets means customers can use fewer squares and reduce waste. The core roll is also made from bamboo, and the product's packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials, including biodegradable packing tape.

Unknown to most consumers, standard white toilet paper commonly contains bleach, hydrogen peroxide, formaldehyde, chlorine, and other plastics. While this gives traditional toilet paper its bright white appearance, many of these substances are known as "forever chemicals" or PFAs (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances), which can take hundreds of years to degrade and make their way into soil, water, food, and the environment.

The bamboo toilet paper is also hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin types. There are 300 sheets per roll, available in packs of eight, 16, and 24, which can be purchased directly via the Purafide web store.

Customers can also order paper towels, which come with a two-ply, 22 gsm-thick construction, with each roll containing 90 sheets.
