North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is one of the state's preeminent universities for research and doctoral studies and it is also the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States. That's why the DC Aggie Athletic Foundation is so pleased to be fundraising once again to help more students attain one of the most esteemed educations in the state at this renowned institution.

The DC Aggie Athletic Foundation is also pleased to be fundraising to support A&T State University as it remains one of the most inclusive and egalitarian institutes in the US, with 78% of undergraduate students receiving financial aid through grants or loans last year.
In complement to the good work of the university administration, the DC Aggie Athletic Foundation is committed to raising funds specifically for athletic scholarships, which they believe are integral to both the community culture and pride of the university and to opening the door to higher education for students who may otherwise miss out.
As a spokesperson for the fundraising organization said, "In the spirit of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and philanthropy, the DC Aggie Athletic Foundation proudly presents the 16th Annual DC Aggie Golf Classic. What started as a modest fundraising event in 2008 has blossomed into a celebrated tradition, bringing together golf enthusiasts and supporters of North Carolina A&T State University's athletic programs. This year's classic promises an exciting day of golf, networking, and giving back to the Aggie community."
The 16th Annual DC Aggie Golf Classic will be held this June, on Friday the 21st at the nearby Oak Creek Golf Club.
Golfers and non-golfers alike are called to participate this year because, in addition to the official golfing competition, a host of activities will be held on the day inside Oak Creek's clubhouse and all attendees will join together for a buffet lunch.
The proceeds from both golfers' and non-golfers' registration fees will go directly to the DC Aggie Athletic Foundation's scholarships and other athletic initiatives, including their career counseling and tutoring programs for student-athletes at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Those who cannot attend this special day are also encouraged to make a donation online.
