This new training program launched by the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy is intended to help new students with no prior experience become fully certified for work in a medspa or home clinic, without interfering with their day job or other responsibilities.
More information about after-hours career training options, the Dermysk Academy, and the Basic training course for new students can be found at https://academy.dermysk.com/
While the Dermysk Academy is already known for training aestheticians across Canada, these new courses use a unique approach that allows new students from anywhere in the country to attend the majority of their classes online. However, while students can complete most of the course from anywhere with an internet connection, they will still be required to attend one week of hands-on practical training at the nearest Academy location.
After enrolling in the Basic course, students will receive access to 7 online training modules, which can be completed at their convenience, with no time limit. These modules explain the history of the medspa industry, the science behind popular treatments, and the legal requirements for working in a medspa or running a home clinic.
Once students have completed the online training, they can schedule their practical instruction at any Dermysk Academy location across Canada. This hands-on training allows students to get real-world experience working with clients, using aesthetician tools, and completing popular procedures such as micro-blading, dermaplaning, and fractional ablation.
After graduation, each student will be fully certified to work in a local medspa, or to provide up to a dozen common procedures from their own home. This may include professional acne treatments, IPL hair and tattoo removal, and skin pigmentation techniques.
With this new course, students can complete their Basic training and begin a new career in as little as 8 weeks. However, graduates may also return anytime for more training in complex techniques, such as stem cell treatments using platelet-rich plasma, laser gynecology, and body sculpting.
To complete their certification in advanced procedures, students can either enroll in the Advanced course, which requires either 5 years of medspa experience or previous graduation from the Basic course, or they can enroll directly in the Master-level course. This Master-level training covers all the techniques and information taught in both the Basic and Advanced courses, as well as exclusive training not found elsewhere.
