Registration for the March 2024 O Level English Crash Course has opened, and the Mad O Level English Tutor has taken things into his own hands by announcing it on his personal site.
Mr Lee Lin Cher - who calls himself the Mad O Level English Tutor - has taken to announcing the dates, times and location of the crash course on his personal site, and he has very personal reasons for undertaking this course of action.

"I have a friend who snarkily remarked that I was being 'too nice'. According to her, I only teach at the learning centre on the weekends, and since I don't own the business - neither am I a partner - I have 'no business' boosting their business," Lee reveals.
And while the 52-year-old English tutor acknowledges that there is an element of truth to the statement, he is sticking to his guns and proceeding with what he deems to be the right thing to do.
"For years, I struggled with my identity as a teacher and tutor. Throughout these years, there have been those who have unwittingly stood by me and put up with my emotional flip-flops where teaching is concerned," Lee continues.
"The place where I have been teaching at since 2014 is one of those unwitting 'souls' who have stood by me," Lee explains.
"And therefore the goodwill in this case," the Mad O Level English Tutor declares.
The said crash course, which will be conducted during the one-week school holidays in March, will cover all the strategic essentials necessary for excellence in Paper 1 and 2 of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level English Examinations.

Lee ended this interview with a piece of philosophical musing on his end:
"In a perfect world, the idea of crash courses will be non-existent. But life isn't perfect. Rather than simply accepting the hand that was dealt to us, crash courses are one of the best ways to bridge the constraints of time and space, as well as mitigating the effects dealt by the hands of destiny."

About the Mad O Level English Tutor Website
The Mad O Level English Tutor website is the brainchild of Mr Lee Lin Cher, an author, ex-secondary school English teacher and a current tutor of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level English at a local chain of tuition centres.
Mad O Level English Tutor aims to be the resource site for students sitting for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level English Examinations, and would provide the necessary tricks and tips to ace the said examinations.
The word "mad" in the site title "Mad O Level English Tutor" is a clear indicator of Mr Lee's methods in coaching and inspiring students. Due to his unique background, training and personal belief system, the conventional ways of coaching are - in his eyes - ineffective and a "total waste of time".
Parents and students who have reservations against wayward and rogue ways of teaching and coaching can give his website a miss.
