Lexann's Nail Creations and One Communications Partners on Pinktober initiative

Lexann's Nail Creations (LNC), Georgetown's premier eco-friendly nail salon, is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with One Communications (Guyana), Inc. to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This partnership aims to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of community involvement initiatives, particularly through the "Men's Breast Cancer Awareness Manicure" campaign.

During the month of October, Lexann's Nail Creations will offer 20 exclusive manicures featuring a cancer awareness ribbon colored design on one fingernail. Each manicure is priced at $5,000 GYD, with $1,000 GYD from each service donated directly to the Champions of Hope fund, an initiative dedicated to supporting those affected by breast cancer. "Partnering with One Communications enables us to reach a wider audience and magnify the impact of our efforts in fighting breast cancer," said Lexann McPhoy, Managing Director of Lexann's Nail Creations and a certified NSI Regional Nail Technician Educator. "We are dedicated to not only raising awareness but also actively contributing to the well-being of survivors and their families through the Champions of Hope fund."

Interested participants are encouraged to engage with the campaign by clicking on a dedicated link in the social media posts or by visiting LNC's website.. This link will direct them to a form to submit their information. As an appointment-only salon, Lexann's Nail Creations will contact each participant to confirm their appointment details. A standard salon deposit of $5,000 GYD, required via MMG+, will be collected to secure each booking. In instances of no-shows, where deposits are forfeited, these funds will also contribute to the Champions of Hope fund.

This initiative not only promotes awareness but also challenges gender norms by involving men in a traditionally female-oriented beauty practice, further fostering inclusivity and understanding within the community. Additionally, while 99% of breast cancer cases are women, the disease also affects men both directly (1%) and indirectly.
