In addition to southern Scotland, Extract Engineering's enhanced service is available to haulage companies across the northwest of England and border regions. The firm points out that, as a locally based provider, it offers a more efficient option when compared to sending diesel injectors further afield.
Modern common rail diesel injector systems are significantly more complex than their older mechanical counterparts, calling for a corresponding upgrade in testing and repair capabilities. Delphi advises that several symptoms could indicate a faulty injector, including a check engine light, rough idling, engine knocks, engine surges, fuel leakage, poor fuel economy, or increased emissions.
Extract Engineering explains that the majority of Delphi-approved testing facilities are located in Preston or the Midlands, which is adds time and expense for local heavy vehicle operators. With the latest announcement, the firm offers a locally based solution using advanced technology and OEM parts.
