As both the nationwide and global body for school chaplaincy, the National School Chaplain Association has placed their certified chaplains in over 26,000 schools with an outreach of over 23 million people. Now, the NSCA is specifically working in Glen Rose following the approval of the Chaplain Bill in Texas earlier this year.

If a person feels called to become a school chaplain, they simply need to register their interest with the National School Chaplain Association, who will then guide them through the enrolment process and develop a streamlined and personalized online curriculum for them. Most people with an undergraduate degree can achieve their certification in as little as eight weeks, and individuals with teaching, ministry and other youth work experience are highly welcomed.
Following the passing of the Chaplain Bill, the NSCA has seen a significant uptick in the number of full-time positions available to certified school chaplains, especially in smaller cities and regional areas like Glen Rose and Somervell County, making now a particularly prudent time to retrain as a school chaplain.

The National School Chaplain Association recommends school chaplaincy to anyone who feels called to serve others and who has looked on in sadness as America's children and young people continue to fall victim to school-based violence, high rates of depression, anxiety and loneliness, and to gender confusion.
As a faith-based role, school chaplains certified by the NSCA are convicted to strengthen the moral core of education. The National School Chaplain Association believes this is vital work which can improve school safety and school culture, and positively impact the emotional wellbeing of students by giving them faith, purpose and direction.
School chaplains who are trained and certified by the NSCA are now welcome in public and private schools throughout the State of Texas.
A spokesperson for the leading chaplaincy organization said, "With the National School Chaplain Association, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to provide much-needed emotional support, guidance, and compassion to young minds during their formative years. By getting certified, you can become a positive role model and beacon of hope."
